I love that I am a bit loud sometimes. Not all the time, I can be especially sensitive and quiet when the situation calls for it, but otherwise I like to talk a bit loud and crack jokes and laugh. I'm never ashamed of how noisy I am being, though I am highly tuned in to when I may be annoying anyone. It's not from arrogance or being brash or ignorant, it's simply that I love a big conversation about very small, insignificant things... some call it talking shit!! But i love it; being able to switch off the 'sensible' for a bit and just be a bit fun!!
I have just read an awsome blog by my absolute favourite blogger, Sally from Georgie Love.
The blog is about loving oneself and not giving in to the 'keeping-up-with-the-joneses' mentality
So, inspired by Sally...
I really love that i correct people when they speak in the negative. I know it sounds a bit silly (and probably annoying) but my brain seems to automatically put things in a positive form. E.g, Instead of saying, "I don't want it to rain" when the sky clouds over, I seem to automatically think, "stay, sunshine"
So, when a friend kept getting knocked back for jobs she wanted, and kept saying, "I don't want to get knocked back again, it's shit!" I made sure she changed it all up, "This job is mine, thanks!"
Wheather or not it works, is irrelevant, I simply love that my brain works that way!!
I also love my lips too, they are great for my face (which is also lovely!)
And i love that I am a bit messy... I think it's normal!! :)
Now that i have cleaned my studio up and re-combined my office and studio into one... I'm pumped. I have just made about a dozen pairs of these new earrings and have popped them up for sale on my online shopping site. With an introductory discount of course!
Today I made... A chicken/duck (a ducken) for my new 3 week old niece. And now i think the others will need toys as well, so stay tuned for a monkey for the nephew and a mouse for the other niece :) I also made some earrings too... you can get them from Luft, I Dream A Highway and Manque.
As you might well guess from the title, I am having a baby!!
I'm so excited, I have been reading so many books and researching on the net... I think I have a bit of information overload.
I am 14 weeks today, and we have our "just curious" scan next Tuesday.
(We chose not to have a 10-12 week scan.. then became really curious!)
I can't wait, it will be so amazing to see the little one, and i cant wait to start the bonding proccess properly, eg, talking to belly and playing it music :)
I have had a good start, with really bad nausea for only a couple of weeks. No vomitting though, just extremely tired and a massive lack of interest in any clothes that aren't from the pyjama drawer. Feeling much better now, and even went out and bought a nice winter coat that my belly can pop through later on :)
Think I am having my first real craving, so am texting Fattie to get some cheese and spinach triangles while he's at the shop... yum!!
We have some great names on our list already, using family names is really important to us and we are lucky there are some good ones to choose from. Have very strong boy feelings and am torn about finding out or not at our second scan in July. Would love to know, but would also love that moment after birth when the midwife says, "It's a ...?"
Well, will keep in touch with both baby and jewellery news. xoxo
Since I have shaved my head 6 days ago, it has grown a whopping 6mm longer. I never realised hair grew that quickly... It's nice to know i won't look like this for too much longer, and even nicer to know my in built insulation will return :) It is so hard to sleep with a cold head, but even harder to sleep with a beanie or hoody on!!
Hopefully only a few more weeks and i can start to style :)
On our recently holidays we did a lot of lovely things, more of which to be discussed, one such thing was eating loads of cheese.
I have one friend that is particularly good at eating loads of cheese..
First you need good ingredients; nice water crackers or wafers, two good dips, quince paste, basil and cashew pesto, pickled onions, sweet spiced gherkins, seeded (or wholegrain) mustard and finally two soft cheeses and two hard cheeses.
Assemble cracker by starting with a solid base, and using the dips in a putty like fashion, adhere cheeses and quince paste and of course the next layer of cracker... That's right, it's a stacker cracker!
Open mouth wide.
Even wider!!! And gorge.
The finished product, now consumed, has a relaxing effect giving your friends a much desired opportunity to snap hilarious photos of you.
To combat the effects of annoying cheese clag at the back of the throat, a good red wine is nessecary... This will add to the relaxed state of mind, allowing even more hilarious pictures to be taken.
